After years of high-profile production work for the likes of Max Pezzali, Bugo and Syria, as well as guitar playing duties for the band Esperanza, (Sergio Maggioni? manca nel testo) pivoted towards extreme sonic research with the moniker Neunau, devoting himself to ethnomusicology, documentary work and audio-visual performance.
Published on Boring Machines, Parachute and Until Riot, he also worked on commission with brands like Enel and Comme des Garçons, and is among the creators of Rumur festival.
The loops presented here belong to the project “Viaggio nel cemento” (“Journey in concrete”), a series of recordings following the production cycle of concrete, from the pit to the cement mixer.
