MATTEO SCAIOLI
During his many past lives he first became tabla master, studying for years between India and Sri Lanka, then toured all major European cities and clubs with the project Percussion Voyager, before becoming an authority on analog synthesizers and the most sophisticated forms of club music; today, he writes, records and performs music using only instruments designed and built by himself. In addition, he launched the project La Maquina Parlante, performing on 4 antique gramophones with original lacquers from the early 1900s.
Among his admirers are such giants as Giorgio Moroder, Patti Smith, Claudio Coccoluto, and Donato Dozzy. His career has seen an uncountable number of releases, collaborations, experiences and live performance, but there’s never less than 10 ideas ready in his drawer at any given time.
